General characteristics

It is designed for automatic as well as semi-automatic gas-shielded arc or submerged arc cladding.

Application

Typical applications are as follows: cladding of rolling surfaces, rollers for rolling mills, crane wheels, supporting wheels, brake pulleys, sliding guides, rollers and tensioning wheels for tracked vehicles, gearwheel teeth, roller necks for continuous casting machine and shaft seating places etc.

Technological features

It is recommended for metal arc deposition at direct current of reverse polarity- DC(+).

Properties of the weld metal

The deposited metal shows increased wear resistance under conditions of metal-to-metal friction in combination with abrasive wear and moderate impact loads and can be satisfactory processed mechanically. The wire is suitable for cladding of parts made of low-carbon and carbon steels containing 0.20 ... 0.30 wt.% Caswell as for deposition of buffer layers prior hard-facing, strengthening deposition of more than two layers on parts made of steels containing 0.40 ... 0.65 wt.% C and up to 1 wt.% Mn.
